I'm hearing some people plan to do the Super Jock and Jill 1/2 marathon on Monday so are not doing another long run. I haven't registered yet, but probably will. I'm still ironing out my weekend plans. If I don't go hiking Saturday, I'd be happy to join you for 6-8 of your 20.
The dirt trail along East Lake Sammamish is good for a long out and back run (it's the one we ran a couple times with TNT). I'm eager to hear about your trip.

I am scheduled to run 22 on Saturday. I am planning to run an out and back on the Tolt Pipeline trail. I have never run on it before but it looks nice and hilly. And I think there is water along the way. I am also doing Super JnJ half on Monday.

I'm not sure I'm up for a "nice and hilly" 20 miler! I'm thinking 10 out and back on East Lake Sammamish trail will be more my speed for Saturday.

Melinda let me know if you want to join for part

I love the tolt-pipeline trail. It is soft surface, and it is mostly flat for the first part, and then it is just a long gradual uphill ( which means a long fast down hill on the way back).
Have fun!

Emily,
I would like to do the Tolt Pipeline with you sometime. I've never run it. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

What time are you running? Are you starting from the north end of the trail or the south end?

Melinda. I am actually thinking of running on Sunday now... work has been crazy this week and I didn't get out to run yesterday, so thought I would run tonight and then do the 20 on Sunday, to ensure I get my mileage in. Let me know if you want to join, guessing it probably doesn't work for you since you're doing J&J on Monday. If you can't join, do you have recos on where to start and easy turnarounds -- ie. if I start at Marymoor is there an easy to identify turnaround point? better/worse places to start. I looked on MapMyRun but it's hard to tell how you'd know where the turnaround is... if not, no worries, I'll go by time.

There are now mile markers on the East Lake Sammamish trail. They are blue markers about 3 feet high. I think they mark every half mile. You can only read them running south. I assume they start right where the trail starts up near the park. The ten mile mark is at SE 56th in Issaquah (north of I-90). There is a Chevron right across the street with a mini-market and bathroom. There is also parking along the road next to the Chevron.
Have a good run.
