Jan Week 2

Very Excited about new bike - Specialized Amira (on order - I'll post a pic when the beauty arrives)

Sun 1/10 - 2 hr HIT - still took it easy w/ a little standing (leg is getting better - but not 100%)
Mon 1/11 - Started boot camp
Tues 1/12 - Rest (still working too many hrs)
Wed 1/13 - Boot camp WOW
Thur 1/14 - 1.5 hr HIT - adductor is ok (90%) able to complete 30min standing w/ 15 surges and hang on during intervals. Legs are toasted, but workout completed
Fri 1/15 - boot camp - 45-50 min strength/conditioning
Sat 1/6 - am team swim w/ RTB, afternoon seminar @ VO2 max  - learned more about training w/ power (power meter is not on my shopping list right now) and about endurance nutrition.  It was worth the time/effort and great to see Jacob, Kate, Steve & Melinda

Happy New Year!

2010 is here and IM training has started.
I'm going to use this blog chronicle my training (to help keep me on track). 

Week 1

1/1 Fri - day of movies and champagne cocktails w/ MKB.  fun and restful start to the new year
1/2 Sat - 4.1 mile run w/ my brother Scot.  First run of the new year, w/ 2 miles of hills and 2 miles of flats. It felt better than I expected.
1/3 Sun - 2hr session  5B on trainer w/ HIT group.  brunch at Panera (Yahoo - Emily joined us)
1/4 Mon - rest day?  (worked 12 hrs - love first day back from holiday :)
1/5 Tues - 1 hr strength training.  Tweeked my right adductor on a lunge & press - so stuck to upper body (love the rope climb - still not loving pushups)
1/6 Wed - Iced adductor and rested
1/7 Thur - 1.5 hr 6A on trainer w/HIT group. took it easy  - kept cadence <95, one leg isolations on L only, no standing no surges (while not a High Intensity Training - I think the moderate spin did not lead to further injury and may have helped loosen up the muscle)
1/9 - Fri - Rest
1/10 Sat - bought new running shoes (brief 10 min jog) and bought a NEW BIKE
