Sounds like a couple people maybe interested in running on new years. I know no one will want to start too early. Is 10 too early? How about west seattle? If we met where we did last time, at the cafe just under the west seattle bridge - then we can have lunch together afterwards. Or does anyone have a better suggetion for run/meeting place?
Saturday 9am - I suggest the east sammamish trail. Meet in the furthest east parking lot of marymoore park ( like we did for captain jacks) then since it is an out and back ( on soft surface) we can each run the distance we need to for this week - as we each get back into the swing of things.
Well.....what do ya'll think?

I was somewhat thinking of the Resolution Run on New Years. Emily doesn't sound very keen on the swimming part. East Sammamish sounds good for Saturday.
Both good choices Jen. I plan to be there.
East Sammamish is good for Saturday.
On Thursday is it at the luna park cafe? at 10
I'll be there both Thurs and Sat - Jen do you want to ride w/ me on Sat?
Emily and I are for sure doing the Resolution Run. We will see you all on Saturday.
I will be there on Thursday especially if it is in West Seattle and I'm not hungover. Note that Lance is holding a strength training clinic at his store on Saturday morning from 8:45-10:15am. I've already told him I will attend.

I just looked at my training schedule--I figured since there are only six weeks left I should probably do that. It turns out I'm supposed to run 9 miles Thursday and 13 Saturday. Anyone want to join me for the 9 Thursday?
It doesn't matter to me whether we run from the Seattle Center or West Seattle, whatever works.
Let's stick to west seattle. meet at the luna cafe like last time at 10am. It will be nice to run along alki instead of down town. Then melinda can get in a little more distance.
Happy New Year
see you Thursday 10 am at Luna Park!
I've mapped an 8.5 mile route beginning at Luna Park. This is very similar to my usual 8 mile Tuesday evening run.

Is the "furthest east" parking lot the one right before you hit the exit gate? Looking forward to the run! I've fallen a bit off the training track, so it will be a good test to see just how far I've fallen...
Yes, that is the one.
Glad to hear you're going to be there Saturday Lauren, I was just thinking about razzing you about not making it. It sounds like we'll have a good turnout and a good time.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
Andrew is probably going to the strength training clinic, so I will be on my own finding my way to the eastside. I need some help with directions. (As any of you who have run with me know, I am directionally challenged.) Can anyone give me an address (or near address) of where we are meeting? Thanks!!!!
The Les Schwab Tire Store is right at the trail head, 6651 E Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, If you turn west on NE 65th (by the tire store), the road will lead right into Marymoor Park. The lot we park in (free) is just inside the park. I am dropping my car off for service at the Les Schwab before the run. Call me if you need further directions on your way there.
Emily - take 520 east, go past marymoore park and get off on the redmond way exit. Take a right. I think it is the second light the road becomes a "Y" you will want to stay right (don't stay on redmond way) then take your first right on 65th. follow all the way to the end, the road will turn left to go into the park - the parking lot is on the right just before entering park.
Thanks for those directions, Jennifer! I always get off 520 at Marymoor and then have to drive through the park at 5 MPH. It's good to know how to go around to the east entrance. See you tomorrow!
